Rabbi Rebecca W. Sirbu has been named Director of Member and Unit Services for Hadassah The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc. Rabbi Sirbu’s responsibilities will include increasing membership, targeting younger women in particular, overseeing leadership development and training, and delivering increased services to Hadassah chapters across the country.

Rabbi Sirbu comes to Hadassah directly from her position as founder and director of Rabbis Without Borders at CLAL – The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, where she was responsible for growing a network of 240 pluralist rabbis and reaching over 2 million people. Rabbi Sirbu is also the founder of www.RabbiCareers.com, an employment search website for rabbis and their employers.

Elizabeth (Liz) Fisher will join Amplifier as CEO effective January 29, 2019. Liz comes to Amplifier from Repair the World, where she led the organization’s expansion, fundraising, communications, and operations.

During her time at Repair the World, the organization grew from 5 to 8 cities and launched several major national digital campaigns.

Liz succeeds Joelle Asaro Berman, who joined the team in 2015 as Amplifier’s first Program Director and became Executive Director in January 2017. During her tenure at Amplifier, Joelle achieved many milestones, including launching Amplifier’s signature programs, which continue today.
