Nominate the Next Young Pioneers Award Recipient

November 28, 2018 By eJP

The Jewish Education Project is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Young Pioneers Award. The Young Pioneers Award celebrates forward thinking and innovative educators, under the age of 36, who demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to new ideas, and proven use of technology or other innovative approaches to inspire children, teens and families.

Nominees must work in either New York City (all 5 boroughs), Westchester or Long Island. They must be nominated by a supervisor, colleague or other professional contact. Recipients and their organizations will receive a $360 professional development stipend, special opportunities to connect with other innovative Jewish educators throughout the year and public recognition at a ceremony at The Jewish Education Project’s benefit and in promotional materials. The Jewish Education Project is accepting nominations through Dec. 14. I find it very disconcerting that this award is restricted to Educators that are practicing in the NYC area. Are there not educators, well deserving, that fit the criteria that do not reside in NYC.
