The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation and the Mandel Supporting Foundations have contributed $1.85 million to The Jewish Agency for the creation of The Mandel Program for Leadership Excellence for returning shlichim.

The Program for Leadership Excellence will offer a multi-faceted learning experience, focusing on the selection, training, mentoring, placement and follow-up of young Israelis serving throughout the Jewish world in educational, organizational and communal capacities. Its intended impact will be on the young Israelis themselves, the institutions in which they work during their service, and ultimately The Jewish Agency, the wider circles of Israeli society, and connections between Israel and the Diaspora.
