NEXT Helps Alumni Celebrate Passover
For the third year in a row, NEXT: A Division of Birthright Israel Foundation will be offering all Birthright Israel alumni the opportunity to host their own Passover seders for their friends, in an effort to help young adults create their own Jewish experiences and build their own communities. NEXT will provide a small grant to help cover the cost of food, as well as online resources for hosts, including links to haggadot and a Pinterest board featuring Passover recipes and table setting ideas. Only a limited number of grants are available, so alumni are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
Additionally, NEXT is partnering with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC)’s Entwine program in 2013 to showcase the modern Exodus stories of Jewish communities across the globe that have struggled for freedom in more recent years. Birthrighters can find these stories on NEXT’s website, as well as ways to spread awareness about them at their seders and opportunities to help these communities continue to thrive.
