The Women’s Amutot Initiative of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation has awarded over $300,000 in grants to 23 organizations in Israel that promote social change for women and girls. Now in its sixteenth year of funding, the Women’s Amutot Initiative supports various organizations in the areas of leadership development, economic empowerment, social empowerment, and protecting women against violence.

Grant selections were made by 25 committee members that meet regularly, review grant proposals, learn about issues in Israeli society, and engage in in-depth discussions on the organizations and grant proposals ensuring they meet the criteria for funding. The committee represents the diversity of the Miami Jewish community.
