The following is from an email sent by Dan Polisar, Shalem Center’s President, in response to yesterday’s post. We hope to have additional information later today.
“Natan Sharansy [sic] submitted his letter of resignation as the head of the Shalem Center’s Adelson Institute for Strategic Studies on June 30, 2009, after a week-long transition period in which he wrapped up his responsibilities as head of that Institute – a position he held since the Institute’s founding in late 2006. Mr. Sharansky’s resignation went into effect the following day, and he officially joined the Jewish Agency as its head on July 1, so there was no overlap between his being employed by these two institutions.”

See? I told you! I am so glad I spent untold hours in the freezing cold in Montreal pelting the Russian Consulate with eggs, demanding Sharansky’s freedom. If I call him up for an interview, do you think he’ll agree to do it while we ride around in his limo?
I’m just asking…
