Hazon Food Conference Opens Today
The country’s largest Jewish environmental organization Hazon, which includes a faith-based network of over 56 Community-Supported Agriculture programs, will hold its Jewish Food Conference on the UC Davis, today through Sunday.
The inherent social innovation in envisioning healthy Jewish agricultural communities infuses the conference experience with a youthful exciting energy. Representatives from top emerging and progressive Jewish nonprofits, including Urban Adamah, Jewcology, Teva, Pursue, Moishe House, Wilderness Torah, Uri L’Tzedek, Jewish Farm School and others will be part of the programming and participation, some along with their families taking advantage of the Kids Teens and Family programs. Leaders in the social Justice World, including Joel Berg (NYC Coalition Against Hunger), Aaron Gross (FarmForward) and Brahm Amadi (People’s Grocery) will also be presenting.
