The Conference of European Rabbis Launches Internet Entrepreneurs’ Prize

The Conference of European Rabbis has established the CER Internet Entrepreneurs’ Prize. The Prize, a cash award to be awarded annually, rewards excellence and innovation in digital and web based ventures .

Announcing the launch of the Prize, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt President of the Conference of European Rabbis said, “The Prize showcases modern technology which is providing a new generation with the tools to help make the world a better place in line with the Jewish principle of ‘Tikkun Olam’ – repairing the world.”

The Prize is for budding entrepreneurs who have an App, website or digital enterprise that supports global harmony or improves the lives of others and offers the chance to win the first prize of 26,000 Euros or one of two runners up prizes of 18,000 Euros.

The Jury which will choose the finalists include Yossi Vardi, the “father” of the High Tech industries in Israel, and Anton Nossik, an Internet personality from Russia.

Applications for the prize should be submitted via the prize website cerprize.org no later than April 1, 2013.
