According to Israel Radio, a Brooklyn Orthodox millionaire donated $13 million directly to the Israeli government to support efforts to repair damage caused by last week’s fire in the Carmel.

The individual asked to remain anonymous. The donation was transferred yesterday from a U.S. bank to Israel’s Treasury in coordination with officials from the Prime Minister’s office.
