Today is Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Day of Remembrance, in memory of this country’s fallen. To date 24,293 have lost their lives – including 1,639 victims of terror.

Just as Israel will observe 2 minutes of silence countrywide at 11 am, UJC/Jewish Federations of North America asks all – regardless of where you live – to join together and demonstrate the unity of the Jewish people by also observing two minutes of silence in honor of Yom Hazikaron, the Day of Remembrance for Israel’s fallen soldiers and citizens.

In solidarity, the UJC Website homepage has gone black for 24 hours with the following statement,

In Commemoration of Yom Hazikaron
Because Words Cannot
Express our Gratitude”
