Taglit-Birthright Israel Launches the Israeli Taglit Society

June 1, 2014 By eJP

With a goal to raise awareness, build crucial bridges and strengthen ties among public opinion leaders in Israel to those abroad, Israeli opinion leaders and business executives have come together to establish the Israeli Taglit Society.

In announcing the new initiative, Meir Shamir, the Society’s chairman, said, “Given the troubling data on assimilation impacting the strength of Israel, I see great importance in the establishment of the Israeli Taglit Society in raising the awareness of the negative consequences of assimilation.
