Stephen Muss Presents $5 Million Gift to Jewish National Fund (US)

October 31, 2013 By eJP

Florida philanthropist Stephen Muss, Chairman of the Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI), stole the show at the recent JNF Conference in Denver. After thanking JNF for agreeing to acquire the school and integrate it into its Zionist education efforts, Muss presented a check for $5 million to JNF, along with a challenge grant to raise an additional $1 million before the end of 2013.

In speaking with eJP following the Conference, Muss said, “The acquisition of AMHSI by JNF ensures the continuity and growth of our joint effort for teen educational travel in Israel to ensure Jewish continuity and perhaps to receive long sought-after support from the Israel government and the Jewish Agency.”

Stephen Muss and JNF have truly stepped up to the plate to help “Double Teen Israel Travel.” I hope other philanthropists and foundations will do so as well!

This is a wonderful gift. I only wish that this program had been around when I was in high school. What a fabulous opportunity for young people to be educated in Israel and to learn to appreciate the Jewish Homeland.
