JLens Hosts Second Jewish Impact Investing Summit

May 11, 2020 By eJP

JLens is hosting the second Jewish Impact Investing Summit virtually (via Zoom) on May 18 & 19, 2020 from 12-3pm EST both days. Impact investing is a new name for an old idea – that values ought to inform investment decisions. Recently, impact investing has grown into an influential global arena representing over 25% of all professionally managed assets, where other faiths are leaders, young people are active, and Jewish communal concerns are regularly at play. JLens explores a Jewish lens on investing and serves as a bridge between the Jewish community and the global impact investing arena.

The first Jewish Impact Investing Summit in 2017 was a resounding success thanks to 15 partners, 43 speakers, and 300 attendees representing 82 Jewish organizations. The first Summit focused on the many reasons “why” the Jewish community should engage in impact investing. This second Summit will transition from the “why” to the “how” of impact investing, uniquely framed for the Jewish community.

Partners include UJA-Federation of New York, Schusterman Foundation, Glazer Philanthropies, Leichtag Foundation, Hadassah, Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego, Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Kellogg Foundation, Jewish Federations of North America, Jewish Funders Network, and more.
