Calling All Jewish Summer Camps: Think Outside the Tzedakah Box!

April 21, 2015 By eJP

think_outside_the_boxThe Jewish Teen Funders Network (JTFN) announces a free training and resource program for Jewish summer camp staff who want to bring the impact of teen philanthropy to their camps.

Now in its eighth summer, JTFN’s Camp Philanthropy program, “Think Outside the Tzedakah Box,” takes the success of hands-on philanthropy to Jewish summer camp. Through a group grantmaking process, campers learn Jewish values by which they make grantmaking decisions, review grant proposals, participate in site visits to potential grantees and make a consensus-based decision as a foundation board.

Whether you’re new to camp philanthropy or are starting your seventh summer of teen grantmaking, you’re invited to sign up for JTFN’s “Think Outside the Tzedakah Box” Camp Philanthropy Program 2015. JTFN provides program materials, training and one-to-one consultations for program leaders leading up to and during the summer. Register by April 29, 2015 to receive program materials and information about upcoming trainings.
