Ayeka Awarded Grant to Implement its ‘Soulful Education’ Pedagogy
Ayeka: Center for Soulful Education has announced that The AVI CHAI Foundation, Kohelet Foundation and Mayberg Foundations have awarded Ayeka a two-year grant to partner with Jewish day schools in North America to implement Ayeka’s Soulful Education methodology for Judaic Studies teachers beginning in Winter 2018.
The goal of the multi-year program is to enable selected Judaic Studies teachers in each school to become proficient in implementing Ayeka’s game-changing Soulful Education pedagogy in their classrooms, as well as to coach other Judaic Studies staff at their schools in Ayeka’s proven methodology. The program will include retreats, on-site coaching sessions, individual mentoring and virtual conversations for selected staff as well as administration of the selected day schools.
Ayeka has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from Jewish day schools interested in participating in this venture to introduce Ayeka’s Soulful Education methodology into their Judaic Studies programs. The RFP can be viewed here.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is October 4, 2017. Interested schools should schedule a preliminary conversation with Ayeka’s Director, Aryeh Ben David, prior to submitting an RFP by contacting aryeh@ayeka.org.il. Schools that are accepted into the program will be notified by October 31, 2017.
