Over 100 participants of Taglit-Birthright Israel, dozens of IDF soldiers and residents of the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem are involved in a volunteer operation to clean up and repaint Jerusalem. Mayor Barkat joined the group yesterday morning to help with repainting a building that suffered fire damage over a year ago. Participants also cleaned up the street, sidewalk, and gardens surrounding the building which houses dozens of elderly residents.

The cleaning operation marked 900,000 hours of community service by Taglit-Birthright Israel.
