World Conference of Jewish Community Centers Opens Today
The conference will address main issues that currently occupy Jewish communities in light of local and regional crises. In addition, cutting edge global collaborations among JCCs will be presented as a way to strengthen Jewish peoplehood.
The conference will showcase JCC Global’s “Amitim – Fellows – A Global Leadership Network.” For the first time, 25 JCCs from 11 countries will simultaneously implement seven projects in global teams of three to five JCCs. The projects, which will each last three years, focus on teen leadership, the arts, special needs and ecology.
Among the delegates attending the conference are Jewish leaders from Argentina, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Moldova, Paraguay, Philipines, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA and Venezuela.
