World Confederation of Jewish Community Centers is Now JCC Global

JCC Global has been officially announced as the new name for the World Confederation of Jewish Community Centers. Founded in 1977 as the umbrella organization of more than 1,100 Jewish Community Centers around the world, the organization felt it was time to give a new look and feel that reflects its current dynamism and relevance.

This change goes hand in hand as the “Amitim-Fellows – A Global Leadership Network” three year program is launched. The program brings together the senior leadership of 30 JCCs from around the world in order to develop a global leadership peer group and create joint global projects among these JCCs. A June 15-19, 2014, Budapest Conference will bring all participants together for the first time in order to get to know each other, study the Jewish Peoplehood curriculum and find partners for joint projects. The program is co-sponsored together with UJA Federation of NY, The Jewish Agency and all the JCC regional networks. For more information please contact Smadar Bar-Akiva at smadar@jccglobal.org
