Who Will Lead JAFI?

The Jewish Agency winter Board of Governors meeting concluded early this evening; well, sort of. In fact, they only adjourned and will be reconvened by tele-conference over the next few weeks. Why? Because even with significant time to discuss and resolve the issue of who will fill in as Acting Chair of the Exec until June, the Zionist General Council has been unable to agree on a nominee.

BTW, if hallways could speak betting on Avi Pazner, Keren Hayesod’s World Chair, is probably a safe investment. The consensus is pretty strong.

As to what will happen come June – when an Interim Chair needs to be elected for a minimum one year term (I’ll explain that in my next post) – everything is on the table. And keep in mind our post from this morning, because Israel’s politics will almost definitely play a part.
