US Govn’t Grant Opportunity to Combat Anti-Semitism in Europe

us-department-of-state-logoThe Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces a Request for Proposals from organizations interested in submitting proposals for projects that will combat anti-Semitism in Europe.

DRL seeks to fund projects that will have a direct and lasting impact in combatting anti-Semitism in the EUR region by promoting reforms and structural changes that take advantage of changing social and political dynamics. High preference will be given to cutting edge, entrepreneurial program concepts that are responsive to emerging trends in the local context. Programs may focus on one or more countries in the EUR region and must include a justification for why those geographic locales should be targeted with this program.

DRL invites organizations to submit proposals for programs to conduct work in any of the following areas: countering anti-Semitic speech in new and traditional media particularly working with youth and media NGOs, bolstering new media advocacy against hate speech, and encouraging regional cooperation between media focused civil society groups on the issue of anti-Semitism.
