Times Square Advertising Initiative Launched to Support Holocaust Era Property Restitution
An advertising banner high above Times Square in New York is now featuring Project HEART. The banner, whose cost is being paid by an anonymous donor, appears once every hour for 30 seconds.
An initiative of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), with the support of the Government of Israel, Holocaust Era Asset Restitution Taskforce, Project HEART is aimed at people who owned or whose families owned property, including intangible property, real estate, or other property, which was confiscated, looted or forcibly sold in countries governed or occupied by Nazi forces or Axis powers.
