Thank you for this important article! Foundation of Jewish Camp is proud to report that thanks to our partnerships with JAFI, the relationship between Israel and Jewish campers is stronger than ever. over 1300 JAFI shlichim traveled from Israel to camps across North America, ensuring that a deep and meaningful Israel connection is formed during joyous Jewish summers.

Great article, Andy! Always nice to read good things about Jewish philanthropy in general, and the personal story about our Jewish community in Memphis made me homesick for the Southern hospitality of my hometown. Kudos, as always, to the leadership of the Belz family!

I am now living in New Orleans and doing some work with the Jewish Federation here … so glad this came across my desk!

Thank you for this upbeat post. There is no doubt that the Jewish Agency is changing, structure wise and content wise, in order to accomodate the changing face of the Jewish world. As a senior lecturer of the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute I can attest to Ben-Gurion’s perspective and the need of a strong relationship with the Diaspora.

Andy said it beautifully and speaks for all of us who care deeply about the future of the Jewish people everywhere. Let’s hope that Israel’s government does the right thing as we in the Diaspora are not going away.
