Shapiro Family Fellowship Application Open

The Shapiro Family Fellowship is now seeking its sixth class of fellows for a yearlong, highly selective experience designed to cultivate future leaders of the New York area Jewish community. The fellowship includes:

  • Yearlong programming that provides meaningful personal and professional development, and deepened knowledge of Israel, the New York Jewish community, and UJA-Federation of New York.
  • A 10-day trip to Israel where fellows will explore internal social, economic, and political topics and issues of Jewish identity; connect with Israeli peers; and meet with Israeli professionals from parallel work fields.

Candidates for the fellowship must be between the ages of 22 and 28, live in the greater New York metropolitan area, and have traveled to Israel at least once before.

The fellowship application deadline is Monday, December 3, 2012. Applicants must be available for an interview from Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 8, 2013.

For more information, contact Morgan Firestone at 1.212.836.1514 or firestonem@ujafedny.org.
