Roots & Branches Foundation Seeks Grant Proposals

In its sixth year of grantmaking, Roots & Branches Foundation, an initiative of Rose Community Foundation, will grant a total of $68,220 to nonprofit organizations serving Greater Denver and Boulder. Roots & Branches Foundation has established two funding priorities for the year: supporting access to high-quality integrated health services for low-income and uninsured people; and engaging Jewish people ages 21 to 40 in ongoing volunteer programs that promote social justice. The group is seeking proposals for only the Jewish engagement priority and will award up to $20,450 to qualified grant seekers in that area of focus.

Roots & Branches Foundation’s complete Request for Proposals, including a full description of these grant priorities and information about how to submit a proposal in response to the Jewish engagement priority is available online at rcfdenver.org/initiatives_roots.htm, by emailing sindyk@rcfdenver.org, or by calling Sarah Indyk at 303.398.7416. The deadline to submit a grant proposal is December 10, 2012 at 12:00 noon.

Roots & Branches Foundation’s members are a diverse group of Jewish people, age 25 to 40, from throughout Greater Denver and Boulder. The group has been meeting since July to identify needs in the community and to learn about Jewish philanthropic traditions, grantmaking approaches and strategies.
