Plan Would Keep HUC Campus Open

The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting…

The Clifton campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion would remain open under a plan announced Tuesday by school officials.

The plan, adopted by HUC’s board of governors, gives administrators and educators six weeks to figure out how to make the school financially viable while preserving its campuses in Cincinnati, New York and Los Angeles.

The board backed away from earlier pronouncements that it would likely close one of the campuses, but it did not rule out the possibility.
