Nominations Open for The Jewish Education Project’s Young Pioneers Award

The Jewish Education Project is now accepting nominations of metro New York based educators for the 2020 Robert M. Sherman Young Pioneers Award. The nomination deadline is Dec. 6th.

Several exciting new changes have been introduced to the award’s format and structure. The age limit for award nominees has been raised to age 40. Thanks to generous donors, Young Pioneers Award recipients will now receive a $1,000 professional development stipend. Nominees must work in either New York City (all 5 boroughs), Westchester or Long Island.

The Robert M. Sherman Young Pioneers Award celebrates forward thinking and innovative educators, age 40 and under, who demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to new ideas, and proven use of technology or other innovative approaches to inspire children, teens and families.

They must be nominated by a supervisor, colleague or other professional contact. Recipients will receive a $1,000 professional development stipend, special opportunities to connect with other innovative Jewish educators throughout the year and public recognition at a ceremony at The Jewish Education Project’s benefit and in promotional materials.
