Nominations Open for Annual Ruderman Prize in Inclusion

Prize in inclusion logoThe Ruderman Family Foundation has opened the nomination period for its international Ruderman Prize in Inclusion, now in its fifth consecutive year of operation. Five individual $50,000 awards will be given to companies and organizations that operate innovative programs and provide services that foster the full inclusion of people with disabilities.

Nominating organizations for the prize can be nonprofit organizations or companies with an American nonprofit fiscal sponsor – 501(c) 3. This year, priority will be given to innovations in the fields of technology, entertainment, art and fashion, media, social businesses and advocacy.

25 organizations worldwide have been recipients of the Prize throughout its five-year history, including organizations in Russia, the U.K., United States, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Australia, Canada and Argentina. Past winners include schools, religious places of worship, a dance company, university, bakery and an employment service.

The first stage of the application is due August 9, 2016 at 5:00 pm EST. Organizations that pass the first stage of the application process will receive an invitation to submit a second, more detailed stage of the application. The second stage deadline is September 12th, 2016 at 5:00 PM EST.
