Nominations Open: 2021 J.J. Greenberg Memorial Award

Jewish Funders Network is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the 2021 J.J. Greenberg Memorial Award! The award honors foundation professionals age 40 and under who are engaged in grantmaking and have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in Jewish philanthropy.

In the past year, many foundation professionals have really stepped up to respond to the enormous increase in need. If you know someone who has gone above and beyond in their service to grantees, help us give some much-needed recognition. Nominations are due by 5 pm ET on December 21!

The J.J. Greenberg Memorial Award was created and endowed by J.J.’s family, friends, and colleagues following his untimely death in a traffic accident in 2002, when he was only 36. It is presented annually to an individual who, like J.J., has exemplified the highest of Jewish values and the relentless pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life. Recent honorees include Shayna Rose Triebwasser of the Righteous Persons Foundation, David Rittberg of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, and Amy Braier of Pears Foundation.

Recipients of the J.J. Greenberg Memorial Award receive an item of Judaica and $5,000 to be used for professional development or tzedakah. The 2021 award will be presented in March at the (online) JFN International Conference.

Nomination Deadline: Monday, December 21, 2020, 5 pm ET
