The Jewish Education Project is now accepting nominations for the Young Pioneers Award 2017, which recognizes outstanding innovators of Jewish education in Westchester, Long Island, and New York City. The deadline to nominate an educator is November 15 at 11:59PM EST. Recipients of the award receive professional development and a stipend.

The Young Pioneers Award celebrates forward thinking and innovative educators under the age of 36, who are helping Jewish education meet the evolving needs of children, teens and families in the 21st century.

Over the last 5 years, the award has recognized twenty-five educators, each of whom has demonstrated a personal and professional commitment to new ideas, along with a proven track record of innovative approaches to inspire students and families. Honorees are renowned for embracing and incorporating new initiatives in schools, synagogues or other educational environments, garnering admiration and support from colleagues and other lay leaders in their communities.

Do you know someone who is inspiring today’s Jewish children and teens? Is one of your educators shaking up the status quo in Jewish education?  Nominate them now. See full details of qualifications and criteria.
