It came as no surprise, but in politics rumors abound and people continually rethink their decisions. But at the opening session of JAFI’s Board of Governors meeting this afternoon, Zeev Bielski, JAFI’s will liked and respected Chairman of the Executive, made it official. He is beginning a leave of absence in order to compete in the upcoming Kadima primary. By his own admission, it is with mixed feelings as he begins a new chapter in life on the national political stage.

Zveeik’s oft-stated mission is to serve the Jewish people; now he has yet another opportunity. We wish him well as he begins this new journey.
