Mandel Jerusalem Fellowship Program Canceled for 2011-2012

The Mandel Jerusalem Fellows program has been canceled for the 2011-2012 year. The decision was made following the close of the application period, but prior to the announcement of selected Fellows.

In confirming the program cancellation, Dr. Varda Shiffer, President, Mandel Foundation-Israel, told eJewish Philanthropy, “The MJF program has had great success overall. This program, now 30 years old, has gone through a number of updates and revisions in its history. Now, our Board has decided it is time for another review of the MJF mission and program. Accordingly, we will defer recruiting our next cohort until this review is completed.

In the meantime, we will continue all current activity now in place for MJF graduates.”
