London’s JW3 Celebrates 1 millionth Visitor
When JW3 first opened its gates at the end of September 2013, the aim was to welcome in 60-65,000 visitors across its bridge every year. A week before celebrating five years of outstanding Jewish community building, culture, theatre, cinema, music, art, family events, summer schemes, social action, classes, world-class talks, interfaith events and more, JW3 welcomd the record-breaking one millionth visit through the doors, on Friday September 21st.
JW3’s CEO Raymond Simonson told eJP, “Welcoming our one millionth visitors into the building so close to our 5th birthday is a milestone to be proud of. When we opened the building, we were hoping to have passed the 300,000 visits target by the 5-year mark. Leading JW3 as the UK’s first such Jewish Community Centre and year-round cultural venue , and watching it surpass our expectations and become so completely embedded into the community’s life from our corner of North West London is such a privilege.”
