About the role: eJewishPhilanthropy is looking for a go-getting mid-career editor with a sharp news sense and with the ability to quickly edit clean, precise copy, from shorter hard news stories to larger features, on a variety of topics.
This role will be responsible for authoring, curating and editing the Your Daily Phil newsletter in coordination with eJP and JI colleagues, especially the eJP news editor. This includes writing and producing opinion pieces based on key events and thoughts in the Jewish philanthropy space, native tidbits for the newsletter and constantly engaging with readers and sources for tips and to overall ensure eJP’s coverage is reflecting the conversations and issues our core readers are having and care about.
This will include expanding eJP’s network of freelance writers in conjunction with eJP’s News Editor and Reporter.

Elements of the job:
Qualifications: Prior journalism experience. A passion for Jewish communal life, preferably with previous experience or knowledge of Jewish institutions and philanthropies. An ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments independently, excellent social skills and strong initiative. Digital literacy and a willingness to learn new techniques and skills.
