Jewish Renewal Matching Grants Program Launched in Israel

Medium_mosaicThis morning, Pseifas (Mosaic), a new matching grants program promoting Jewish renewal in Israel was launched before a full-house of amutot professionals at Beit Avi Chai in Jerusalem.

Pseifas is an initiative between AVI CHAI Israel and UJA-Federation of New York in collaboration with Tmura – The Israeli Public Service Venture Fund and the Jewish Funders Network. The goal is to offer Israeli donors the opportunity to leverage their donations in order to empower Jewish renewal organizations in Israel.

With initial funding for one year, the Pseifas initiative seeks to increase the number of Israeli donors involved in Jewish renewal in Israel by offering up to NIS 1,900,000 ($500,000) in matching grants. Pseifas will match donations to organizations at a one-to-one ratio, from a minimum of NIS 40,000 to a maximum of NIS 200,000 per organization.

Matching grants are open to new Israeli donors who make a first-time donation of NIS 40,000 or more to Jewish renewal in Israel and to Israeli donors who have already contributed to an organization involved in Jewish renewal in Israel and are at least doubling their largest previous donation in the field.

Additional information, including funding criteria and the schedule, are available on the Website in Hebrew and in English.
