Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles Releases 2013 Giving, Assets

The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles (The Foundation) and its donors made grants in 2013 totaling $65 million to a wide range of causes. This reflects a 23 percent from $53 million distributed in 2012. Assets under management rose 8% to $880 million.

Nearly 69% of the grants were directed to Jewish causes.

By funding area, grant distribution was:

  • education (31%)
  • human services (30%)
  • Jewish continuity (12%)
  • health (11%)
  • arts, culture and humanities (7%)
  • civic life (7%)

During the past five years, The Foundation and its donors made grants exceeding $286 million and inflows to The Foundation totaled $382 million.
