Jerusalem Event: Protecting Your American Funding Sources

U-Bank: Nonprofit Solutions is excited to announce its next seminar:

Lessons from Z-Street: What Israeli Charities Need to Know about Forming and Protecting their Funding Sources in the U.S.

Building on previous talks she has given at U-Bank, United States attorney Laura Solomon will discuss:

  • Proper relationship between an Israeli charity and its supporting arm in the United States.
  • Recent IRS scrutiny of charities supporting Israel, specifically causes that might not be in line with “perceived” American foreign policy.
  • The implications for Israeli charities vis-à-vis deductibility for donors and tax-exemption for “Friends Of” organizations and the like.
  • Guidelines to minimize exposure to unwarranted IRS review.

Sunday, July 13th
9:30 – 11:00am
U-Bank: Jerusalem Branch, 32 Keren Hayesod

This seminar is being offered free-of-charge, though space is limited.
For more information or to RSVP: jfogel@u-bank.net

This seminar will be given with the assumption that the attendees will have had experience forming/managing a “Friends of” organization and exposure to IRS scrutiny.
