JCC Professionals Receive Scholarships from JCC Association

Twelve JCC professional from across the United States and Canada will pursue ongoing educational opportunities to advance their careers in the JCC Movement with the help of scholarships they awarded by JCC Association of North America. The awardees work in a variety of departments, from marketing, to health and wellness, and early childhood education, among others.

The scholarship recipients are the first to join the recently-revamped JCC Association Professional Development Scholarship Program, which changed its name and focus this past year to better meet the needs of full-time professionals working toward new degrees or certifications.

Selected scholars are able to study in a program of their own choosing that meets their specific professional development needs. They may receive up to $5,000 per semester to pursue graduate studies, or another course, class or certificate program that enhances their career within the JCC Movement. Scholars must have worked in their current JCC for at least one year, and must continue to work full-time while pursuing their degree or certificate.

Since JCC Association launched the professional develop program over 50 years ago, it has awarded more than 500 scholarships to the best and the brightest young professionals in the JCC Movement.

The deadline for the next round of scholarships, for spring semester 2019 study, is Monday, Oct. 1st. Learn more about the application process here.
