In Moscow today, the Jewish Agency and the Genesis Philanthropy Group reached an agreement on widening the scope of mutual cooperation in the field of Jewish education and in the strengthening of Jewish identity of Russian-speaking Jews in the Russian Federation and in other former Soviet Union countries. Among other projects, this cooperation includes support of Jewish schools and summer camps.

Within the framework of the agreement, Genesis will invest up to $6 million into its joint programs with JAFI [over the next 3-4 years]. Genesis will also assist JAFI in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects they currently operate in the former Soviet Union.
