HaShem Melech Covid

Shir Madness, the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School’s high school a cappella group, is a locally recognized name with a long history. Many young Jewish singers get their start in Shir Madness before moving on to collegiate and other a cappella groups. With songs ranging from American secular music to Israeli pop and liturgical, Shir Madness brings a breadth of talent and voices to its performances.

Three of the members of the group wrote a song called COVID-19, the 14 or so teens each recorded it, and then it was mixed and produced by them, which is of course quite a trick, with no two of them in the same room, matching the sound exactly, and so on. The group made this for a national competition in which they placed second.
