Hadassah Hospital Cuts Salaries

The Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem has made an across the board cut of employee salaries. The hospital claims that the cuts are a result of the economic crisis and not from losses associated with Madoff. As a private hospital, the salaries of Hadassah hospital’s employees are not part of the collective agreement governing most of Israel’s hospitals.

Hadassah indicated the salary cuts will be treated as a loan, with employees to be paid back when the hospital’s financial situation stabilizes.
