Paideia, The European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden, has announced the appointment of Levi Spectre, Ph.D., as Director of Paideia. Levi received a PhD in Philosophy from Stockholm University and has taught philosophy and Jewish thought at high-school, Hebrew University, Stockholm University, and is presently a senior lecturer at the Open University of Israel. He is the author of numerous articles on rational belief and knowledge, and related epistemological subjects. Levi is presently researching “Knowledge Resistance” together with an international team of researchers from several fields led by philosophers from Stockholm University.

Fania Oz-Salzberger, Paideia’s current director, will be dedicating herself to building the legacy of her father, Amos Oz (z”l).

The transistion is effective August 1st.
