Broward County Federation announces Solutions Award and Micro Grants

The Jewish Federation of Broward County has launched the Yetta Sher Solutions Award and Micro Grants.

The Yetta Sher Solutions Award and Micro Grants are intended to inspire individuals, organizations and agencies to develop and implement new or enhanced projects that meet significant community needs or create meaningful opportunities in Broward County. Beginning in 2019, a “Solutions Award” of up to $500,000 will be granted to a single organization and micro grants from a total of $100,000 are available for up to 10 organizations focusing on innovative and impactful programs addressing one of the following community challenges:

  • Increasing dignity for aging populations
  • Opportunities for those with special needs or from special populations
  • Solutions around financial independence
  • Increasing engagement and vibrancy in Jewish life
  • Connecting community to form positive relationship with Israel and global Jewry

The selected programs, must have measurable impact and be consistent with the Federation’s purpose to enrich Jewish lives and strengthen the Jewish community locally and globally, and in accordance with Jewish values. Funds will be distributed over two years for the Solutions Award and over one year for the Micro Grants.

Grant applications must be submitted by Monday, December 17, 2018 by 5:00pm and award determinations will be made in February 2019.
