Birthright Kicks Off Winter Season

Taglit-Birthright Israel opened its winter season last Wednesday night with a group of 40 participants arriving at Ben Gurion Airport from France.

Following last week’s announcement of an extra $5m from philanthropists Dr Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, Taglit-Birthright will bring in 17,000 young adults from 32 countries – a record number of countries for a winter season.

“We are looking forward to a very successful season filled with new and stimulating experiences,” said Gidi Mark, International CEO of Taglit-Birthright Israel. “Taglit-Birthright is constantly updating and upgrading its programs and this winter season promises to enlighten, entertain and educate participants in new ways.

Taglit-Birthright Israel’s winter season will see many special niche groups participating in the experience. These include culinary, fashion, a “Start-Up Nation” group and a group of young Jews with Autism and Aspergers syndrome.
