Applications Open: International Nahum Goldmann Fellowship

Applications are now open for the 30th International Nahum Goldmann Fellowship taking place just outside Hanover, Germany, from August 6 – August 12, 2018. The Nahum Goldmann Fellowship is an immersive, weeklong, international seminar gathering a diverse array of young Jews (age 25 – 40) from all parts of the Jewish world, with a wide range of opinions and religious and political ideologies. The NGF has no political or religious agenda and focuses exclusively on igniting Jewish passion and promoting Jewish unity and connectedness, by exposing participants to the highest level of Jewish scholarship offered by our international faculty.

The theme for this year is: From Generation to Regeneration – Engaging Memory, Culture, and Identity and will explore the complex and constantly shifting relationship of historical memory and contemporary Jewish identity particularly in light of the Shoah, and in the context of challenges around migration, the status of refugees, and rising anti-Semitism and xenophobia. Application deadline: 8 June 2018.
