Applications Open for Slingshot 2013-2014

Slingshot ’13-’14: A Resource Guide for Jewish Innovation is now open for applications.

Applications are evaluated by a panel of independent readers, who review organizations and projects based on four main criteria: innovation, impact, leadership and organizational effectiveness. Selected organizations are eligible for grants from the Slingshot Fund, a peer giving group of NextGen philanthropists.

Additional information, including application information, can be found at slingshotfund.org.

New for next year, Slingshot Supplements:

In 2013, Slingshot will publish Slingshot Supplements, guides with narrower focus to learn more about particular programs areas. These supplements will both be an opportunity for more organizations in a particular program area to showcase their work to the large list of national and local funders who read Slingshot each year, and for funders attracted to specific program areas to broaden their awareness of innovative work happening in their areas of interest.

Applications are now being accepted for two pilot Slingshot Guide Supplements that will showcase 15-20 organizations and/or projects in the areas of Disabilities and Inclusion, and Women and Girls focused initiatives. These supplements are produced in partnership with the Ruderman Family Foundation and the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York, respectively.

Organizations fitting the Supplement criteria need only to apply to the national guide and note their eligibility. Organizations may appear in both Slingshot and the Slingshot Supplement.

Deadline: January 25, 2013
