Applications Open for Ivriyon (Summer Hebrew Institute for Day-School Teachers)

Are you a day school teacher of Judaic studies, or a graduate student of Jewish education?

Do you aspire to develop and refine skills necessary to teach in Hebrew?

The Davidson Graduate School at JTS will run its popular four week Hebrew immersion program, Ivriyon June 30 – July 24, 2014. Ivriyon provides day school teachers with a wonderful opportunity to strengthen their ability to teach Judaic topics in Hebrew language. The program is a 4-week, non-denominational immersive experience hosted at JTS in New York. All expenses related to instruction, housing (provided in NYC at JTS dormitories for out-of-town participants), and meals are fully subsidized. As an added bonus, participants are matched with a mentor who will guide them through implementation during the 2014-15 school year.

Ivriyon is supported by a grant from the AVI CHAI Foundation and co-sponsored by the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education.
