Announcing Sacred Synagogues, Sacred Spaces Program in Chicago and Washington DC

Sacred Spaces has launched “Sacred Synagogues, Sacred Spaces.” This initiative offers opportunities for synagogues in Chicago and Washington DC to collaborate in developing policies that promote cultures of safety and sacredness. The cross-denominational synagogue cohorts in each city will receive comprehensive training and personalized consultation with policy and abuse prevention experts. As a result of their participation, these synagogues will have stronger and more thorough policies and best practices for proactively ensuring safe communal environments.

These programs are generously funded respectively by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago and the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation of Greater Washington.
