The Jewish Billionaires Club

September 13, 2010 By eJP

First, we had the Forbes 400, the annual list of the world’s richest people. Now, we have the JPost 50 – a new list of the world’s wealthiest Jews (as compiled by The Jerusalem Post). Their net worth ranges from Larry Ellison’s $28 billion to Leonard Stern’s $3.6 billion. Some of the fifty are self-made billionaires, others built their wealth on family fortunes.

The names of business they’ve established are familiar to many: Oracle, Dell and Facebook from the high-tech world; Mango, Polo and Top Shelf from the world of retail. They reside around the world – Hong Kong, Moscow, Mumbai, New York, Paris and more. Their places of birth, even more diverse. Many, but not all, support Israel related and Jewish causes. Some, live fairly public lives; others, not so much.

So, without further ado – and for all you major gift fundraisers it’s time to hit the print button – this year’s JPost 50:
