ROI Community Announces 2013 Summit Participants

For the first time, ROI will welcome members hailing from Bulgaria, New Zealand, Rwanda, Morocco and Korea to its annual Summit

ROI-Logo-thumbnailAfter a highly competitive application process, 150 young, innovative Jewish entrepreneurs from around the world were announced today as participants in the upcoming ROI Summit in Jerusalem. The group was chosen from over 620 applicants to take part in the prestigious, high-energy five-day summit where they will network, collaborate and get the support and space they need to help turn their ideas into dynamic new avenues for engagement in Jewish life. The Summit is the capstone gathering of the ROI Community, an international network of change makers that is part of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Philanthropic Network.

This year’s participants come with a diverse range of skills from digital storytelling to beatboxing and community engagement. They will be arriving in Jerusalem from 30 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom, Ukraine, USA, Uruguay. For the first time there are participants coming from Bulgaria, New Zealand, Rwanda, Morocco and Korea.

“We were blown away by the extraordinary talents and quality of this year’s applicants and had a hard time narrowing it down,” said Justin Korda, Executive Director of ROI Community. “It is exciting to learn about the innovative work these young Jewish activists are involved in around the world. Their commitment to shaping a relevant, meaningful and vibrant Jewish future is inspiring.”
