Rachel Garbow Monroe, President and CEO of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, will receive JPRO’s 2017 Mandelkorn Award for Distinguished Service. This award recognizes individuals who have made significant and enduring contributions in the field of Jewish community organization practice.

Monroe began her tenure as President and CEO of the Weinberg Foundation in February of 2010 after serving as the Foundation’s first Chief Operating Officer from 2005-2010. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer for The Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore; Worldwide Director of Marketing for the international architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; and Marketing Manager for the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago.

Ben Mandelkorn, z”l, was the first Executive Director of the Columbus Jewish Federation and Director of the Columbus Jewish Foundation. The Columbus Jewish Foundation, along with his family, established this award to honor his leadership and dedication.
